Yun-Dong Wu
Yundong Wu obtained B.S. from Lanzhou Univ. in 1981 and Ph.D. from Univ. of Pittsburgh (with Prof. K. N. Houk) in 1986. He joined HKUST in 1992, and was promoted to full professor in 2001 and Chair Professor in 2007. Currently, he is chair professor and Vice-Chancellor of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. Prof. Wu’s main research interests lies in reaction mechanism and stereochemistry, development of accurate protein force fields for protein simulations and drug design based on protein-protein interactions. So far, he has publised over 200 research articles with H-index of 52.
Prof. Wu is serving editorial advisory boards of eight journals including Acc. Chem. Res., J. phys. Chem., and J. Comput. Chem. He has been a Board member of the World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC) since 1999 and Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (APATCC) since 2012. He was elected to member of the Chinese Academy of Science in 2005 and fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Science in 2011. He was awarded the 2014 Fukui Medal honored by APATCC.
